It was July 6, 1957. The concert hall was filled with crazed fans. The shrills were deafening. It was pandemic. Well, after all, it was one of the most popular bands of music history that will perform that night. Known as Banda Puti, the band's sounds reverberated along the halls with so much gusto. Their kind of sound made the girls banged their heads while the boy fans shouted like little girls. Well, thanks to Photoshop, they still linger on the minds of their undying fans who, for decades, kept some signed photos and put them on their aged "bauls"(wooden bolts/safe) :) Well, the sound of yesteryears keeps on playing on and on and on. :) (Shown above are the After and Before photos) Photo Manipulation by George Pontino Jr.

iProphet (The Exodus)

Before the iPad, there's the iProphet...
My quest to transform my photography, featuring my friend Karlo Panahon, into something biblical in inspiration yet steampunky in visuals has ended. Behold iProphet (The Exodus)!!! The original image was taken in Tuwaik, Saudi Arabia's Camel Trail in one of our photo-adventure sessions. With his GPS-capable phone, we went there together with three friends in tow, had fun under the sun with lots of photographs taken (of which I will manipulate and feature here sooner or later.)  Thanks to GPS technology, we didn't lose our way back home after sundown.
And why such title, if you ask? It is loosely based on Apple Company's style of branding and the Holy Bible's Exodus 17:8-9 The Amalekites came and attacked the Israelites at Rephidim. 9 Moses said to Joshua, "Choose some of our men and go out to fight the Amalekites. Tomorrow I will stand on top of the hill with the staff of God in my hands." (Click images to enlarge)

End of Decadence (Going Greek Volcanic)

End of Decadence (Above image before and after) was borne out of a "workless" day (READ: Deadlines met and had nothing to do at the office). I was able to bring my USB Flash on hand and searched folder by folder of archive photos. A photo of me taken by my fellow photography enthusiast caught my fancy. It was a photo taken in  Usheger, Saudi Arabia where abandoned mudhouses and village abound. Soon, I found myself converting the image into a volcanic drama...set in Ancient Greece. And me--an accidental tourist from the future. It took only less than 4 hours to make and this image evolved minute by minute. It was like playing music by ear.  I believe the hit movie '300' has greatly influenced me in choosing the color scheme. (Click the image to enlarge)

Nethead

Finally, here's my first post entitled "Nethead."
The idea is simple: Popular web services' logos come popping out from my head. You name it. There's Facebook, Gmail, Flickr, YouTube, Twitter (though I don't Tweet), Skype, Utorrent, Yahoo. The internet has a deluge of other popular ones  but too much isn't good to include them all here. And to consider Friendster and Multiply, these sites are quite extinct in terms of popularity game. But oh, where on earth is Google's multi-colored logo in this entire mess? The Google logo exploded if you circle your eyes around the image.
Shown above is the simple behind-the-scene set up.. an umbrella with SB600 and a mini-softbox mounted on a SB900 Speedlight.
