WATCH: Painting Rey of Star Wars Using Coffee (VIDEO)

Artwork by George Pontino Jr based on Star Wars photos.
Owner: Disney and Lucasarts

By now you know that STAR WAR's Rey is the new epitome of girl power and yes, she's become an instant crush to fans old and new alike. With all those memes about her surfacing in fun websites like 9gag and apps like Instagram, she's has become an iconic character for this flick about a galaxy from far far away.  Indeed, she's a strong female character with more than a pretty face. Thanks to British actress Daisy Ridley for bringing our heroine to life.  In Star Wars The Force Awakens trailers, she is introduced as a resilient survivor in the harsh landscapes of Jakku who meets the astromech BB-8 and Stormtrooper-turned Rebel Finn.  In the Last Jedi, she met Skywalker finally and get to harness power to finally face some Republic guys specially the Darth Vader fanatic, Kylo Ren.
To celebrate a new saga, I painted Rey using Nescafe Gold coffee on paper as my media, a trending art that's so innovative and organic-looking. Of course, you will see a different view of coffee once you finish doing you coffee art. WATCH: Pixar Movie Inside Out's Joy Lights Up "Magically" (VIDEO)

The 3D computer-animated movie Inside Out is Pixar's answer to interpreting human emotions. The film is set in the mind of a young girl named Riley Andersen. Inside are five personified emotions-Joy, Sadness, Fear, Anger and Disgust using a console that connects to Riley's subconscious landscapes. Walt Disney Pictures was fearful at first that the movie's complexity could be a hindrance in marketing it to people who were used to talking cars, toys, bugs and other stuff.  So now how bout talking emotions? But with a budget of 175 million, the movie earned $851.6 million. Not so bad for a complicated theme. And with that comes eye-candy toys that will simply wow kids.
The unboxing video above shows how innovative toymakers are these days. Indeed, creativity mixed with technology is one amazing thing that will somehow enchant kids who are fans of Inside Out. It's up to you to decide if this toy is indeed pure joy to kids. We suggest before buying one, watch the unboxing video first. :)

WATCH: The Almost Real Lightsaber Toy I've Ever Seen (VIDEO)

What happens when friends get to test drive an almost real lightsaber that comes with a built-in sound effect and a light that turns on and off just like in the movies? The result is fun.
Made of a special glass to handle the light effect, this lightsaber is not for kids to play as it seems to vulnerable to breakage. But when handled with care on a test drive, it will really leave a good impression even to non-Star Wars fans. Check out the video above how Luke's blue laser sword and Darth Maul's menacingly red double lightsaber acts in fast and slow motion video edit mode.

WATCH: Meet my BB-8 (Probably, The Best Star Wars Toy There is) (VIDEO)

Blog and Video Production by George Pontino Jr.

We can't deny  that Star Wars: The Force Awakens has revealed too many spoilers before its cinema release. Disney and Lucas Art's strategy is to introduce new characters via trailers before the big film so people can collect toys earlier. It's a tried toy marketing strategy.  The Droid BB-8, its massive popularity even overshadowed the lovable astromech R2D2.  Powered by Sphero and other toy makers like Hasbro, the football-like droid comes to real life in different sizes. For Sphero, BB-8 is a mini version that fits on a kid's palm and  comes with powerful traitware (behavior software). It's an App-enabled figure that can be controlled via Android or iOS apps. For Hasbro, BB-8 is in a larger size akin virtually akin to that in the film and it comes with a remote control.

WATCH: A Road Trip to Awe-inspiring Desert Saudi Arabia Landscapes (VIDEO)

Video and Text By George Pontino Jr.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is home to expatriates from different nations. It is also home to awe-inpiring landscapes that is pulling expats to go on a road trip as a way to combat homesickness and boredom as they are away from their respective countries.

A group of Filipino OFW (Overseas Foreign Workers) got to taste the great outdoors with a trip to Thumamah Al Hair or Al Haeer Red Sand dunes, where one can ride the ATV bikes during a season when the sun is no longer that terribly boiling hot. As winter season comes near, the desert landscape, south of Riyadh is full of life as people not only spend time driving the big bikes on desert sands but also get to have picnics (sometimes with cooking grilled food) as a sign of camaraderie and relaxation.

The accompanying video above encapsulates a story into one event and it is accompanied by my original song entitled DIWATA (meaning fairy goddess), a Filipino song composition I wrote and recorded back in 2000 with my band Majica. The song gives life to our day trip full of adrenaline-filled excitement and nature's wonder. If you want to sing along or understand its meaning, the video comes with a Filipino language caption or subtitle and can be translated to many languages through a YouTube amazing tool - CC  which stands for Closed Captions. Hope the translation serve the video right :)

Star Wars Battlefront is coming to gaming consoles this November while the film Star Wars The Force Awakens will rock cinemas and die-hard fans in December. Isn't it exciting? To celebrate this upcoming epic entertainment media, Fun Learning Factory has created an ABC song for kids that is heavily influenced by Star Wars (with its hyperspeed effect in the middle part of the video) plus a reminiscent of NASA exploration and has the shadow of Roswell 60s alien stuff. This original alphabet version is fun and easy to learn as your kids will feel as if they're the brave astronaut conquering space, meeting a quirky 60s UFO ship and dangerous asteroids along the way. To sum it up, it's not about just learning ABC but it's also a creative adventure that's wide as a child's imagination. Exploration is the keyword as a child tries to figure out the world and space around him or her. My Little Iron Man: Jarvis Liam is Born

Write up and Photomanipulation By George Pontino Jr.

When news broke out I'll have a son. The first thing that came to my mind is what name should we give him. If you're a die-hard Marvel or Iron  Man fan, you'll probably heard the name Jarvis. But if not, he's the first AI assistant of Tony Stark. The one who became Vision was J.A.R.V.I.S both are played and voiced by british actor Paul Brettany. So, we went on naming our first-born son Jarvis Liam. Behold my Photoshop of him inside an Iron Man suit:

To commemorate his birth, I made a photoshop manipulation using his first-ever photo, taken at the hospital. So meet Jarvis with the Version 1.0 Interface of his little Ironman suit. Hopefully, I will delve more into "Iron Man" and other Superhero-inspired photoshop works soon.  Indeed, the miracle of life should be celebrated in simplest yet lasting form like a photomanipulation job.
